As urbanisation accelerates across the country, there is a growing need for sustainable and well-planned urban environments that prioritize order in the physical setting in a way that facilitates the health and well-being of the population.

Waste management in educational institutions plays a critical role in fostering sustainable environmental practices and promoting public health. This study appraises waste management strategies in K-12 schools in Jos, the capital city of Plateau State, North Central Nigeria.

This study investigates the impact of shading devices on occupant thermal comfort in residential buildings within Bauchi Metropolis, Nigeria. Using a survey-based methodology, 120 questionnaires were distributed, with 102 valid responses analysed alongside a checklist assessing building orientation, form, shading, vegetation, and window placement1.

The United Nations has seen the need for quality education and coined the phrase “Sustainable Learning” which refers to the integration of play and creativity into learning.

The quality and sustainability value of intervention buildings by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has been of concerns because of the impact buildings can have on the academic environment and the quality of education. Understanding the level of students’ satisfaction with the quality of off campus lodges they stay is highly valuable for enhancing academic wellbeing and productivity. This study assesses the level of satisfaction of students’ lodges in Malete Community, where the Kwara State University is located. A total of 240 students were selected for this study, using random sampling method to conduct oral interviews and distribution of questionnaires to selected respondents in selected lodges.

Using a qualitative case study approach, the research investigates projects across different regions, analyzing how cultural, social, economic, and environmental factors interact with global sustainability practices.
