Journal of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIAJ)
The Journal of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIAJ) is an academic, peer-reviewed journal coordinated by the Library and Publications Committee of the Nigerian Institute of Architects.
The first issue of NIAJ was published in 1981. It appeared regularly until 2015 under the leadership of Arc. Dr Abubakar Salisu FNIA, who served as Chair of the Library and Publications Committee. After a prolonged hiatus, the journal was successfully revived in 2023 in both print (ISSN 2315-8913) and digital (ISSN 1595-4110) formats under the leadership of Arc. Fitzgerald Umah FNIA (Chair, 2019–2023). Arc. Afolabi Adedeji (Chair, 2023–2025) continued this momentum until the end of his tenure in December 2025.
In January 2026, under the leadership of Arc. Dr Enobong Equere FNIA, the journal transitioned to the International Journal of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (IJNIA). This marked its evolution into a fully open-access publication on a new dedicated platform.
Back copies of the digital editions of NIAJ will continue to be preserved and made available in this repository, ensuring seamless access to the journal’s complete archival record.
