Users’ perception of Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) is critical for sustainable residential development. IEQ factors that affect evaluation of quality life for occupants in residential buildings are thermal comfort, air quality, light quality and indoor acoustics. This study critically reviewed literature on IEQ for residential buildings with the view to establish an improved IEQ concept on sustainable development.

Inclusive Design (ID) is a paradigm that is hinged on the basic need to accommodate the variegated needs of all individuals, irrespective of their age, ability, and social and financial status as they interact with a livable space. As urbanization accelerates across our clime, the need for accessible, equitable, and user-centred spaces has become increasingly crucial. Even though the Nigerian built space is making concerted efforts to latch into the philosophy of Inclusive Design (ID), there are still observable shortfalls in the adoption of associated inclusivity strategies in its housing development schemes.

This study aimed to examine building collapses in Nigeria, focusing on Jos metropolis in Plateau State as a case study. The specific objectives were to investigate the Socio-Economic and Environmental Impact of building collapses in Jos metropolis, identify the primary causes, evaluate the supervisions rated factors which has contributed to building collapse in Jos metropolis, Plateau State, and recommend solutions to reduce or eliminate such incidents.

This article presents a comprehensive narrative review exploring the intricate relationship between architecture, social housing, and Sustainable Development Goal 11 (SDG-11) in Nigeria. The narrative review method was chosen for its ability to provide a broad, in-depth analysis by synthesising and critically evaluating existing literature.
