Maintenance is a key requirement for buildings to operate at their maximum efficiency throughout their
intended lifespan. This study examined the consequences of building maintenance management on the longevity of the
structure through the medium of a literature review. The study is purely a review of documented evidence hence data
for the study were obtained from journal articles, manuals, reports, databases, and other published works.
